The History of the

CYR Organization

Creative Youth Resources was created in 1984 and is a not-for-profit organization that produces educational films for teenagers across the country and around the world. Our National Board of Directors is made up of business leaders from across the country.

Creative Youth Resources’ mission is to create films that motivate teenagers to talk about life issues. Our films are 30-minute discussion starters to be used by educators to generate lively discussion on life issues. We have covered such issues as cheating, family, sex, alcohol abuse, purpose, destiny, etc. Over 68 million teenagers have seen our films in classrooms, on television, and by satellite. Our films have been translated into eight languages.

Creative Youth Resources has won twenty-five International Secular Film Festival Awards, (see attachment) and we pride ourselves in both our creativity and production excellence.

Creative Youth Resources has two divisions within our organization.

· Our School Division creates films for public junior high and high schools, as well as public juvenile institutions.

· Our Religious Division produces films for church youth groups and ministries around the world.

Creative Youth Resources recently located one of its offices in Williams, Oregon. Our other office is in South Lake Tahoe, California.
